Students Buy Clothes for Bullied Classmate

Michael Todd talks with reporters thanking students Kristopher Graham and Antwan Garrett for their support.

Two high school students in Memphis, Tennessee have shown that there are still some good people in the world. The Two MLK football players Kristopher Graham and Antwan Garrett are in a video that has gone viral showing their act of kindness for a fellow classmate.

Freshman Michael Todd has been bullied in class for the past 3 weeks now because he wears the same clothes everyday. The three students are all in the same 3rd period class, which is where the bullying takes place. Graham and Garrett took it upon themselves to help Todd out. The video shows the two football players calling Todd out of the classroom and handing him a bag full of clothes, shoes and other items. Todd says he has been bullied his whole life and to see the students helping him is awesome. Although he was a little shocked and didn't know what to say, the student showed much gratitude. Graham also apologized to Todd for laughing at him while the other students bullied him. Todd told reporters at Fox 13 his mother can not afford to buy him a lot of clothes, due to him growing up so fast.

This act of kindness has caused others to get involve and donate clothes to the student to be able to wear to school. With so much bullying going on and mass shootings, its good to know there are people with good hearts. The two students showed courage to n not follow the norm of what others were doing and to not also be just a bystander but to stand up for someone else. They also showed integrity to be able to admit their wrongs and be willing to help in the best way that they can. Hopefully this type of behavior will carry on to other students as we know high school is the main place for bullying besides social media. We love to see it.
