Anthony Davis returned to New Orleans Wednesday night to a fired up and rambunctious crowd. It seems they forgot the 7 years the 7 foot All Star gave them. Possibly remembering how the star left wearing a "That's All Folks" T-Shirt who knows but whatever it was the city of New Orleans ain't on it.
New Orleans jumped out on the Lakers early after trailing 4-0 once Brandon Ingram broke the seal with a three it was on from there. New Orleans got to as much as a 9 point lead in the first quarter coming out hot behind Justin Holiday with 25 points in the first half going 10-15 form the field. Ending the half leading by 10 New Orleans seemed poised to keep the game at bay. Anthony Davis ended the half with 27 points going 10-19 from the field for the Lakers..
Coming into the contest with a league leading 15-2 the Lakers received the Pelicans best effort. Coming out the 3rd Quarter just as they started the Pelicans keep the pressure on and shots continued to drop. The Lakers still trailing at the end of the 3rd by 10 points 89-79 with point guard Justin Holiday leading the way. Lakers forward Anthony Davis seemed to get hurt at the end of the 3rd going for a loose ball hyper extending his elbow running into Pelicans guard Jason Hart. The western conference leading Lakers continued to trail mid way through the a 4th quarter until the king put them up for good. with a signature quick 3 from the wing. Eventually pulling away and winning by 4 points 114-110.
At one point LeBron went of for 15 points in the 4th taking up the slack left by Anthony Davis who left the game, but eventually returned after a brief stint in the locker room due an apparent elbow injury. LeBron surpassed 33,ooo points in his career with what is now a signature quick elbow 3 to help put the Lakers up for good against the Pelicans. LeBorn is now only 636 points away from surpassing Kobe for 3rd place all time on the NBA scoring list. He is also only the 4th player ever to reach the mark. Anthony Davis dropped 41 in his return to New Orleans making it the highest point total versus an ex team in NBA history. The Lakers have now won 9 straight and on a tear, how much longer will the win streak last guess the right at answer and receive a gift card courtesy of KūL Experience.
