Jussie Smollett attack real or staged?
Empire star Jussie Smollett attacked in Chicago, speaks out against the accusations of his story being false. On January 29, 2019 Actor Jussie Smollett was walking home from subway when he claims two men with ski mask walked up on him and started spurring out racial and homophobic slurs and attacked him, poured bleach on him, and placed a rope around his neck. On February 15, Smollett sat down did an interview with ABC anchor Robin Roberts about his attack. Questions have been surfing all over about if this attack was true or made up. It looks as though Chicago police found two people in interest due to a surveillance camera located on the corner where the attack took place. The persons of interest have been identified as Nigerian brothers Obabinjo Osundairo and Abimbola Osundairo who are both extras on the Empire show, and have spent time with Smollet at the gym. Authorities state with a thorough investigation they were able to track and arrest the two brothers for questioning. New Evidence of black ski mask and a receipt showing a purchase of a rope similar to the one Jussie states he was attacked with. The Nigerian brothers have been released from custody after stating the attack was staged and Jussie payed them to do it.
36-year-old actor says he is “pissed off” for the accusations that his story was false and that he is not a “media whore” looking for attention. He has been catching heat from a lot of people who do not believe the attack is true from daily talk show host Trevor Noah, rapper Joe Budden and an amount of radio host who have blatantly stated their opinion. The actor states this is not his first time being threaten. A couple of weeks prior to the attack Smollett says a poster with a stick figure drawling hanging from a rope with racial slurs written on it, as well as a crushed-up powder, later identified as Tylenol was mailed to the Empire recording studio. Get this, authorities say when they searched the Nigerian brother’s home, they found magazines, stamps and bleach. Does that mean they were sent the poster? Did Jussie pay them or are they setting him up? Authorities say Smollett refused to give his phone up for investigation as he claims he was on the phone with his manager prior and during the attack. Smollett states he was not giving his phone up because he wanted to protect his privacy and authorities could get his phone records without needing his phone. This is a situation that raises a lot of questions!!!! One speculation was that Jussie did this because he is being written on the empire show. The director Lee Daniels spoke out and stated this was not true, he is still apart of the Empire show. Some say he just wanted attention. However, why would anyone of his platform want to make up such a story? Or is it true that he was attacked and he is being framed? Rumor has it, Jussie had a secret romance with at least one of the brothers. Jussie has not spoken out since the interview with ABC but authorities state they are getting to the bottom of this. Is Jussie story the Truth or does it Dare to be false….
