August is the hottest month of the summer and for our south brothers and sisters the every day 90 and up degree weather has got to be hell. Rappers Future, 21 Savage and Big Bank celebrate Hood Day a little different this year. The rappers teamed up with a couple other big names and rented out Six Flags water park.
The two Hip Hop Icons spent at least $300k on renting out the park and the residents got the opportunity to also enjoy free food and drinks. The rappers brought the whole hood out.....literally the whole Zone 6 neighborhood where the rappers grew up. The team went with a different theme after last years hood day was spent at a local park where they did a back to school event and passed out school supplies and food for the kids. Other big name celebrities also enjoyed themselves such as Love and Hip Hop Tommie Lee and Shekinah Anderson. Videos of the rappers enjoying themselves with the Atlanta neighborhood surfaced and showed what looked like a good time for everybody. As 21 Savage and Big Bank were seen enjoying themselves with the residents on the lazy river.
This isn't the first time 21 savage has been in the head lines for given back to his community. Earlier this year the Grammy nominated artist participated in his 4th annual back to school drive. The rapper whose real name is She'yaa Bin Abraham Joseph helped give back to Decatur residents with free book bags, uniforms, school supplies, free hair cuts for the boys and free hair styles for the girls. The British native created a 21 Savage Bank Account Campaign to help local teens with literacy. He also donated to his local immigration program, who helped fight to get him out of detainment with ICE a couple months back. Since being out Savage has been working in the studio, and giving a lot back to his community. We hope he continues to shine bright despite his circumstances.
